The Most Popular Food Order When Pandemic – NBC 7 San Diego| Instant News

Food delivery applications are increasingly popular because they stay at home throughout the country. One reason is because people order more from local restaurants, trying to support small businesses that are affected by public health orders.

Each major food delivery application has also made several changes, such as eliminating shipping fees or delaying commissions for local restaurants.

Uber Eats has just released its data from March, showing which foods are the most popular.

The most popular foods ordered through the application are french fries, followed by pad Thai, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and miso soup.

The 5 most popular desserts are tiramisu, baklava, cheesecake, banana pudding, and churros.

Uber Eats also divides data by country. It was found that Californians ordered more tikka masala chicken than anywhere else.

Below is a list of 3 dozen states and the most popular food items ordered there.

“Customers who order on the Uber Eats application will have the opportunity to add contributions that will go directly to the restaurant,” a Uber spokesman said. “[We] it will then match each dollar donation with up to $ 5 million to the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Employee Assistance Fund. “
