Foothills Food Pantry announces June | Instant News

HOLLAND PATENT – Food Pantry from the Foothills Ministry of Rural Communities, 7835 Church St., will continue to serve the area in June.

Guidelines established by Food Bank Central New York will be followed to keep people who use the service and volunteers as safe as possible. This means that people wait in their cars while volunteers deliver food to their vehicles. This can change when the Food Bank directs.

Food Pantry will open on Wednesday, June 3, starting 4-6 nights. It will open on the first three Saturdays of June – 6, 13 and 20 – from 9am to 1pm. It will also open on the fourth Thursday, June 25, from 9 am to 1 pm. To make sure the kitchen closes on time, volunteers ask people to come 15 minutes before closing time.

If someone has never used a pantry before, but the current situation makes finances difficult, it is easy to register to use a food pantry. Area residents must bring proof of address for each family member over the age of 18. A volunteer will ask a number of questions and fill out forms, and evidence that validates the use of the pantry.
