Luis Valbuena, who performed the ultimate two seasons of his huge league profession with the Angels, was killed in a car accident on Thursday evening, together with former huge leaguer José Castillo, a spokesperson for his or her Venezuelan workforce confirmed.
Valbuena was 33, and Castillo was 37.
The accident reportedly occurred when their automotive hit a rock and went off the highway within the state of Yarucuy, in Valbuena’s native Venezuela.
Carlos Rivero, one other former huge leaguer and their teammate in Venezuela, was driving the automotive and survived.
Valbuena and Castillo each performed on Thursday evening for his or her workforce in Venezuela, the Cardenales de Lara.
The Angels signed Valbuena to a two-year deal previous to the 2017 season, and he remained with the membership till he was designated for project in August 2018.
Though Valbuena failed to provide because the Angels had hoped, he was standard amongst his teammates.
Valbuena spent 11 years within the majors, with the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros and Angels.
Castillo performed from 2004 to 2008 within the majors, with the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Francisco Giants and Astros.
