Geoff Collins hired as Georgia Tech head coach | NCAA Football

Geoff Collins is the brand new head coach at Georgia Tech, this system introduced Friday.

Collins, 47, went 15-10 in two seasons with Temple, together with an 8-Four mark this season and a bid to the Independence Bowl. 

Earlier than taking the Temple job in December 2016, Collins was the defensive coordinator at Florida, Mississippi State and FIU. He’s a Georgia native and was a graduate assistant at Georgia Tech from 1999 to 2001 and served as its recruiting coordinator in 2006.

Paul Johnson resigned because the Yellow Jackets head coach final week after 11 seasons with this system.
