A Lake Jackson favorite for more than 40 years, owner Richard Wood first started working at the restaurant as a cook when he was in high school. Its original owners, German immigrants Bernie and Marlice Buschbom, taught him how to cook traditional Deutsche food from scratch, the way Oma used to make. Wood eventually took the restaurant to downtown Lake Jackson and expanded it to double its size, while preserving its beloved Old World recipe that customers loved for years, and adding some classic American dishes.
With more than 102 beers on tap, the Wurst Haus is the perfect place to sip and enjoy the rich German flavors!
