BERLIN (Reuters) – The German vaccine commission adhered to its recommendation on Thursday that people under 60 who have received one injection of the COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca should receive the mRNA vaccine as their second dose.
The commission, known as STIKO, said the second dose should be given twelve weeks after the AstraZeneca injection.
Two mRNA vaccines, one from Pfizer / BioNTech and one from Moderna, are currently approved for use in Germany.
