ST. LOUIS – The seven-day moving average for hospitalization for the corona virus reached 25, said the St. Pandemic Metropolitan Task Force Louis, Sunday, when Business district Louis prepares to be reopened from the lock.

The task force represents the four main hospital systems at Barnes Jewish Health, Mercy, SSM Health, and St. Luke’s Hospital.

Hospitalizations for the virus as a whole decreased slightly from 493 on Saturday to 487 today, said task force officials. The number of patients in intensive care remains more or less the same, from 122 on Saturday to 121 on Sunday. Of these, the number of people using a ventilator decreased from 84 on Saturday to 75 on Sunday.

Sixteen patients were discharged on Saturday, bringing the total number of COIVD-19 patients discharged from the hospital to 1,880.

Across the state in Missouri, 114 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Sunday, with a total of 10,789 cases. Five new deaths were reported on Sunday with a total of 594 in the state.

In Illinois, 1,734 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Sunday, with a total of 94,191. Forty-eight new deaths were reported with a total of 4,177. Officials say 581,944 people have been tested overall in the state.
