Panchkula’s health department which has carried out aggressive tests to ensure the spread of any community has now decided to randomly test shop owners in the city of Panchkula and is currently developing a strategy in this regard.

The Ministry of Health, which has completed testing of the rural population for community distribution and has found zero positive cases, has now moved to conduct a similar test on its urban population. A total of 40 samples have been collected and tested negative. The health department is working with IMA to conduct this test where patients who come in private clinics and OPD are being tested for random viruses.

This process was somewhat stopped because a number of foreigners returning and domestic came to Panchkula. “We have started random sampling from our urban population this week but have to hold it back with people from the red zone reaching our city in large numbers. As for now, testing it is our priority, “said Deputy Civil Surgeon, Dr. Saroj Aggarwal.

The work of high contact with a high population of people has been the main reason for Panchkula’s authority to reach this decision.

Meanwhile, as many as 148 people who have reached the city on domestic flights have been detained at home quarantine and all those from the red zone are being tested. “We have tested many of these and have called others to our corner of the flu tomorrow. We even have one person who refuses to enter but we will take samples from his own house. Everything from the red zone must be tested, “said Dr Saroj.

More than 40 foreigners who returned from various international flights have also been quarantined, in addition to 73 people who returned from the US. “We are organizing a number of tests because the numbers are very high. Of this more than 40, some have completed their seven-day institutional quarantine and have reached their homes while some are still there. We will test everything, “Dr. Saroj said.

Among the 73 returning foreigners who had been brought to the city last week, while 21 were positive, another – a 28-year-old man, a Kaithal resident – tested positive late Thursday. The man has been isolated and is being treated at the civil hospital, Panchkula.
A foreign woman returning from the US tested positive in Faridabad. The woman has been isolated in Faridabad herself.

The couple who had just returned from Ahmedabad were also tested positive on Friday. Both are Kalka residents and have been transferred to the isolation department of the Civil Hospital along with their immediate family. Tracking their contracts has also begun. The district now has a total of 28 cases, including three active cases.
