Coronavirus cases confirmed by Israel rose to 10,095, the Ministry of Health reported Friday. The confirmed death from the virus also increased to 93.
Two of those killed were women, aged 86 and 84 years, who had been treated at Shaare Zedek Hospital, Jerusalem. The hospital said they both suffer from complex pre-existing conditions. Both are residents of the same residential facility in Jerusalem.
A third woman, in her 80s, died at Laniado Hospital in Netanya. A 90-year-old man, a resident of an old house in the northern city of Yavneel, died at the Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera. Another woman, 85, died at the geriatric hospital in Jaffa.
Officials reported that 164 were in serious condition, with 125 on the ventilator. 178 other people are in moderate condition, with the rest having mild symptoms. And 1,061 have recovered from the disease.
A national lockout that prohibits inter-city travel was imposed on Tuesday ahead of the Easter holidays and lifted on Friday morning.
Separately, the curfew was maintained on the first night of the holiday on Wednesday, to prevent further spread of the virus, and was picked up at 7am on Thursday morning.
In recent days, officials have begun to discuss the possibility of reducing some restrictions later this month if infection rates continue to slow.
