Iran Guards say strike ‘terrorists’ in Iraqi Kurdistan

Tehran (AFP) – Iran’s Revolutionary Guards stated Friday that that they had launched lethal strikes towards “terrorists” throughout the border in Iraqi Kurdistan.

“Terrorist camps and coaching centres have been attacked from Wednesday,” with rockets, drones and artillery, the Guards stated in a press release revealed by their official web site Sepahnews.

The assertion didn’t identify the teams focused within the strikes, however stated they have been behind efforts to “disrupt safety” in Iran.

Iran had warned authorities in Iraqi Kurdistan to not permit “terrorist teams” to arrange coaching camps near the border with Iran, the assertion stated, however the warning “had not been heeded”.
