Italy captures the wife of an ISIS fighter in Syria – Middle East Monitor | Instant News

Italian Carabinieri police say they have arrested an Italian woman married to an ISIS fighter in Syria and returned her to the European country, the local cable service. ANSA reported.

Carabinieri police returned Alice Brignoli and her three children to Italy.

Alice Brignoli is married to Mohamed Koraichi, an Italian Daesh fighter of Moroccan descent, she is thought to have died during the country’s ongoing civil war.

Koraichi took part in Daesh militant operations while Brignoli played an “active role in teaching children the causes of jihad,” according to ANSA.

She is believed to have left Italy for Syria, together with her husband and three children, in 2015.
