Rome [Italy], 22 November (ANI / Sputnik): Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte promised on Sunday that Rome will prioritize climate and energy, transitioning to a carbon neutral future and a circular economy next year when Italy takes over the annual rotating G20 presidency.
“As president of the G20, Italy will focus on the climate energy linkage and on how to achieve a rapid transition to a carbon neutral future, and the idea of ​​a circular economy concept based on the Saudi proposal for a carbon-free economy. Our platform has a role to play before this transition,” said Conte. in a pre-recorded message at the G20 Summit side event on protecting the planet.
