After recovering from the first wave of the coronavirus, the world is preparing to return to lockdown as the global number of cases has surpassed 44 million. Germany looks forward to partial closings of bars and restaurants, France may go into a new month-long lockdown.
Meanwhile, the Covid-19 cases in New Delhi crossed the 5,000 mark yesterday, with the country’s capital recording 5,673 cases in 24 hours. As per the union’s health ministry, the country reported a steady decline in active coronavirus infections but spikes in cases were seen in Delhi, West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
India recorded 49,881 cases as of Wednesday with 517 deaths. The total cases included 603,687 active cases, 7,315,989 recoveries and 120,527 deaths.
Currently, the total active cases in the country reach 7.65%.

Telangana recorded 1,504 new coronavirus cases bringing the tally to 2.35 lakh while five other deaths pushed the toll to 1,324 in the state, reports PTI.
49,881 new Covid-19 cases took India’s tally to 8,040,203
India’s daily Covid-19 tally rose to 49,881 cases with 517 deaths recorded in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases passed the eight million mark with 120,527 deaths.
Jharkhand recorded 4 new deaths due to Covid-19, 345 new cases
Jharkhand’s Covid-19 caseload rose to 1,00,569 on Thursday as 345 more people tested positive for the infection, a health official said, reporting PTI.
Mizoram recorded 49 new Covid-19 cases, the total tally increased to 2,656
49 new # COVID-19 cases reported in Mizoram, bringing the total number of positive cases to 2,656 to date.
The number of active cases is 417 people, while so far 2,238 people have been discharged.

Andaman and Nicobar reported 15 new Covid-19 cases, 20 recoveries as of Wednesday
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar rose to 4,289. A total of 192 active cases, 58 deaths and 4,039 recoveries were reported in the Union Territory, according to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, reports ANI.
