Globally more than 1 million people have been affected by the virus and there are more than 70,000 deaths. It seems like the virus has engulfed the whole world. But surprisingly there are some bags on earth that remain completely unaffected by Covid-19.

Since WHO declared the coronavirus outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020, there have been daily reports of new cases and deaths from COVID-19. Globally more than 1 million people have been affected by the virus and there are more than 70,000 deaths. It seems like the virus has engulfed the whole world. But surprisingly there are some bags on earth that remain completely unaffected by COVID-19.

South Pacific Island Countries: Remote islands consisting of Vanuatu, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Tonga, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Tuvalu, and Nauru are protected because of their geographical location and travel restrictions. But officials are still wary of the plague because of the vulnerability of the islands. This virus can wreak havoc in places that have densely populated city centers and weak health care systems. Archipelago countries took precautions such as sealing borders and restricting travel from countries with active corona virus cases in early January.

North Korea: Although critics are skeptical, North Korea claims to be completely free of Coronavirus. According to reports officials from the health department said that the initial sealing of the border and strict restraint measures helped ensure that no one was infected by the virus. Unlike other countries, North Korea closed its borders in late January when cases in China grew.

Yemen: The conflict-ravaged Arabs have not reported any coronavirus cases. But the danger is near. With an ongoing civil war that has been raging for the past five years, this country does not have a good health care system. If the corona landed, it would cause an unmitigated disaster.

Turkmenistan: This Central Asian country remains isolated and under repressive government. Despite massive outbreaks in neighboring Iran and Afghanistan, Turkmenistan has not reported COVID-19 cases. Recent reports indicate that the state also controls Coronavirus news reporting.

Tajikistan: This landlocked country in Central Asia claims it is not affected by the virus. Although reports indicate that recently the country has initiated certain containment measures such as restricting large gatherings and wearing masks. Despite looming threats, the country announced the start of the football season this month.
