Minister questions rationale behind taking ‘critically in poor health’ Nawaz to London through Doha

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi on Tuesday questioned the rationale behind taking ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to London through Doha.

He took to the micro-blogging website Twitter hours after the PML-N supremo’s departure for London.

The minister mentioned: “Can anybody clarify me the rationale behind taking a critically in poor health affected person to London through Doha by way of an air ambulance when: Journey time from Lahore to Doha is four hrs; and Journey time from Doha to London is 7:40 hrs Whereas Journey time from Lahore to London is mere 7 hrs .”

Earlier this morning, Sharif, accompanied by his youthful brother Shehbaz Sharif and private doctor Dr Adnan, departed for London in an air ambulance through Doha.

The ambulance, which arrived at 8:45am at Lahore Airport will journey to Qatar first, from the place it can journey to London.

Previous to the journey, Sharif was declared match to journey by his medical panel. The previous prime minister will probably be shifted to the Harley Road Clinic in London instantly after touchdown.
