MLB trade rumors: Indians ace Corey Kluber not likely to be dealt | MLB

Corey Kluber commerce talks are quieting.

According to MLB.com, which cited a number of sources, “there’s nearly no probability” the Indians ace shall be dealt earlier than the beginning of spring coaching.

Cleveland’s pitchers and catchers are scheduled to start exercises Thursday, leaving little time for the staff to barter a deal that might ship Kluber elsewhere.

Kluber’s title has swirled in commerce talks because it was first reported in November that the Indians had been open to discussing any of their veteran gamers in an effort to cut back payroll.

Kluber, who turns 33 in April, reportedly drew curiosity from the Dodgers, Padres, Phillies and Brewers when the commerce marketplace for him was nonetheless energetic.

The Cy Younger winner has three years and $38 million remaining on the contract extension he signed in 2015.
