IHG launches ‘There More to See’ domestic campaign for Australia and New Zealand | Instant News


InterContinental Hotels Group will reward Australians and New Zealanders for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a new domestic travel campaign.

Properly named ‘There’s More to See,’ this initiative is designed to inspire domestic tourists to rediscover wonders near home, from the fresh air of the Hunter Valley to the cosmopolitan coastal capital of Adelaide, wineries in Perth, Melbourne lanes and beyond.

This campaign covers all hotels and resorts open in Australia, as well as New Zealand for domestic travel.

The Managing Director of InterContinental Hotels Group for Australasia and Japan, Leanne Harwood, told WILLIAMS MEDIA that she expects trans Tasman travelers to venture into new spirits once restrictions are relaxed.

“Aussies and Kiwis have a great tendency to travel, and while the road to recovery will be steep, it makes me very hopeful to see easing and the eagerness of travelers to start exploring again,” he said.

“This time has given many of us a new appreciation for the beauty of our own backyard and we can’t wait to start welcoming guests back to our hotels and resorts, safely, flexibly and with our true hospitality.”

There’s More to See offering tourists a choice of two packages:

  • Stay 3, Pay 2: encourage guests to explore more and pay less, guests will receive one free night for every three nights booked (only applies to direct bookings)
  • Breakfast & Parking at Us: ideal for driverless trips, guests will receive free daily parking and daily breakfast for two during their stay (valid for direct bookings and OTAs)

This campaign applies to bookings made from 2 June to 31 July and dates for stay 3 June to 30 December 2020.
