The storm was growing rapidly just south of New Zealand and while it was moving away fairly quickly, it was exploding in size, which means bad weather is most likely in parts of New Zealand today – and the days to come.

Heavy rain will fall along the western part of New Zealand, strong winds to strong winds will affect parts of the country and cold changes are moving in the South Island. The weather is getting colder on Monday and colder on Tuesday.
