Fantasy suggestion for the fifth T20I between New Zealand and Australia in Wellington

New Zealand v Australia, 5th T20I, Wellington

Pro Tips: Spin seems to be the best in the series. Choose players who play spin well and who bowl spin. The average hitter is only 14.37 against the rounds in this series.

Our XI: Matthew Wade, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Kane Williamson, Glenn Maxwell, Devon Conway, Ashton Agar, Rilee Meredith, Ish Sodhi, Adam Zampa, Mitchell Santner

Replacement: Josh Philippe, Kane Richardson, Jhye Richardson, Trent Boult

NOTE: We may not always be able to notify you of late injury updates (or other relevant updates).

Captain: Aaron Finch

It’s hard to ignore Finches anymore but be careful because the law of averages can catch up. Finch now has two good scores and is the leading run getter in the series with 161 runs with a strike rate of 140.

Vice-Captain: Kane Williamson

Williamson is yet to have the best draw so far scoring 82 runs from four games. However, it is decisive and Williamson will be desperate to come out and lead his team to victory. It would be wise to look at how the pitch and throw come out before choosing your vice-captain. If New Zealand is catching up, you might consider opting for Glenn Maxwell instead.

Most choices

Glenn Maxwell: Maxwell is the automatic choice on every fantasy team in this format. In a low-scoring game where most players struggled, Maxwell managed to score 18 nine-ball runs with three limits.

Ish Sodhi: Sodhi is the leading goalkeeper of the series with 10 goals and averaging 13.30. While Santner offers control, Sodhi provides goal-taking options and will come in handy for earning points for your fantasy team.

Value options

Mitchell Santner: Santner has been the best bowler in the series. Regardless of the conditions he has managed to take the wicket or bowl economically. Santner is a safe choice for your fantasy team. He’s only had 6.6 runs per over and has taken six goals.

Martin Guptill: If the throw is a little faster than the previous T20I, then Guptill is worth supporting. He has been New Zealand’s best hitter for this series with 147 runs and striking at 161.53.
