Marriyum demanded Prime Minister Imran, CM Buzdar, be called in to investigate the sugar crisis | Instant News

ISLAMABAD: Spokesman for the Muslim-Nawaz League (PML-N) Pakistan Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that after the shortage of wheat and sugar, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had to be called in before an inquiry commission was formed to investigate the crisis.

“The decision taken by the Punjab prime minister and chief minister is beneficial for those who hoard and raise the price of sugar and wheat throughout the country,” he said. He added that Pakistanis have been disadvantaged by these decisions.

“Investors are taking advantage of the policies made by the ruling government,” he said. “Those who make this policy are the real perpetrators, and must be called to be investigated,” he said at a press conference.

“NAB-Niazi nexus has captured the opposition and the media before investigations into cases are resolved,” he said, adding that opposition and media people were being held in prison cells intended for prisoners sentenced to death.
