LAHORE: Chairperson of the Lahore High Court, Muhammad Qasim Khan has ordered the Punjab subordinate court to decide on all requests and revisions within six weeks that were filed in the family and guardian court until January 2020.

The court chairman spoke to bailiffs at the Punjab Judicial Academy at a one-day online training opportunity. He said the court was facing two challenges at this time because on one side cases were piled up quickly while on the other side were facing the corona virus.

He emphasized judges, lawyers and litigants to strictly follow the SOP to deal with Covid-19. He said bailiffs had to continue the learning process because their small mistakes caused a big impact on the outcome of the case. They must oversee all cases, from filing a challan to recording evidence, he added. In the end, the president of the court handed over the car keys to the eight district judges & the newly appointed additional session. Chief Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, Director General of the Punjab Judicial Academy Habibullah Amir and other officials were also present on the occasion.
