7 children killed after school roof collapses in Pakistan | Instant News


Islamabad: The roof of a school collapsed under heavy rain in northwest Pakistan near Afghanistan on Tuesday, killing seven children and injuring 13 others, police said.

Azam Khan, a local police official, said the incident occurred in the North Waziristan district. He said children aged between 4 and 14.

Photo“Unfortunately, all children who die or become martyred in this incident receive Islamic education at the madrasa,” Khan said.

Rain in Pakistan often destroys homes and other structures due to poor construction quality and many houses are made of mud bricks.
