LAHORE – Punjab Police Inspector General (IGP), Shoaib Dastgir said on Friday that the ‘Khidmat Marakiz’ network was being expanded throughout the province to ensure the provision of facilities in accordance with modern policies for the community.

Residents can get 14 important facilities through a modern integrated system online, he said and added the use of modern technology helps speed up the process of service delivery. He expressed this view when inaugurating the new Khidmat Markaz Bahria Town Lahore building and through online, nine different projects from Rawalpindi police.

In Bahria Town Lahore, CCPO Lahore Zulfiqar Hameed briefing about facilities in Khidmat Markaz said that the modern integrated Khidmat Markaz will provide more than a dozen services to citizens including police character certificates, rental registration, police verification reports, mobile and vehicle records, and licensing facilities .

He said that by safeguarding Khidmat Markaz’s public facilities, the application had also been prepared and residents could download this application to get information about services and also be able to book their visit time. Then, an online ceremony was held at the Central Police Station, where IG Punjab inaugurated nine modern projects from the Rawalpindi police intended to deliver services to the public including reporting center projects and Khidmat Markaz for transgender, reporting centers and Khidmat Markaz for women, Khidmat police Markaz Gujar Khan, Solemn Police Markaz Taxila,

Khidmat Markaz Traffic Headquarters, Rawalpindi, the latest Rawalpindi licensing branch, the Chowki online system, RWP 111 CPO Helpline and the inauguration of the new gate of the Rawalpindi Police Line. The Rawalpindi police officer explained to the IGP that these projects would reduce citizen problems and improve overall police performance, while the paperless license issuance system and automatic driving test recording system had also begun. During 13 days of locking, 642 cases were registered during a visit to 1,201 markets, 29,070 stores were inspected, 1,747 were sealed and 17,356 people were warned for violating the corona epidemic. The CCPO informed the meeting that challan tickets had been issued for 37,619 motorbikes and vehicles for not wearing masks in the corona pandemic where the role of the traffic police was positive. Similarly, more than 300,000 masks, 48,000 hand sanitizers were distributed in the police force and 20,000 face shields and equipment were provided for police personnel. The Lahore Police Chief said that 337 personnel affected by the corona epidemic and 133 personnel had recovered and returned to duty while 199 personnel were quarantined.

The Lahore Police also ensured the safety of the lives and assets of the residents together with Corona. Addressing the meeting, IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir said that the Lahore Police were the face of the Punjab Police. We always have higher expectations from the Lahore police. The Lahore police must perform better than other districts.

IG Punjab further said that the best officers had been mobilized for service delivery. At the police station level, residents must be treated fully.
