The Pakistan cricket Board and franchisees confirmed that their most preferred option remained intermediate the remaining four matches of Pakistan super League GBL 2020 in November. Pakistan super League governing Council met via teleconference on Thursday, and it was discussed between the interested parties for the games in the month of November.
Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani said “Once again, she was attractive and interesting meetings of the Board of governors with a common interest is the welfare and future of GBL Pakistan super League. Of course, the future of GBL RAP is crucial for PCB and franchisees, and as such had a tendency to make bigger, better and stronger brand. The remaining PSL games 2019 is now able to be held in November”
Expressing optimism, the Chairman of the ACC and others recognized there was a large number of moving parts due COVID-19 pandemic and agreed to continue analysis and monitoring of the internal situation before making recommendations to the governing Council.
The financial stability of the PSL discussed
Recently, former Pakistan Pacer Shoaib Akhtar has questioned the financial viability and feasibility of the CPF for the franchise. Akhtar said that it is related to the fact that most of the teams the RAPS want to sell their teams and out of League. The RAP has also been in the news in recent years, increasing differences between of the PCB and franchises of the RAP. To address this, the Board has recently established an independent Department of the Pakistan super League, which will be headed by the Executive project RAPS Shoaib Naveed. Franchises and PCB have agreed the framework of regular contacts between groups and the Department of CPF, aimed at improving consultative dialogue on various operational and strategic issues concerning the League.
On the basis of a continuous review of the League’s six franchises and PCB agreed framework for enhanced cooperation to ensure long-term growth of the PSL and to create financial stability.
“The PSC and the franchisee expressed their determination that they will continue to work together to solve all the current problems and to ensure that all parties continue to flourish and benefit from what is now one of the largest and most followed cricket League in the world.”
The owner Islamabad United Ali Naqvi said, “the formation of a separate Department PSL is a necessary step. GBL PSL is the largest brand in the Pakistan and the dedicated team working on it year-round will improve development for all stakeholders involved in the League.
We’ve all seen that GBL CPF funds for the fans of Pakistan this year the whole season is here. There is a huge potential for us to grow together and we are ready to work with the PCB to ensure this growth”.
Lahore Qalandars’ Gul Sameen Rana said “A key aspect of our long-term partnership with the PCB is to conduct regular consultations on the RAP governing Council. We had a very fruitful discussion today, and we are aligned with the PCB from the point of view of solving the problem by joint efforts and continue to improve and enhance GBL CPF”.
