Federal aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar has confirmed that the Islamabad and Rawalpindi ring road project, as well as high-speed Leh will be built in 2020-21 financial year.

While talking to the Express Tribune on Saturday, the Minister said that the official permission to run all three road projects was given. He added that the mega project will cost Rs180 billion, adding that the cornerstone for all three of them will be presented in the next six months.

Sarwar said that funds worth RS 50 each for Rawalpindi and Islamabad ring road ring road projects have been allocated in the budget of billions.

He said that the cost of Leh Expressway was calculated to be around Rs79 billion under a build-operate-transfer (BOT basis), adding that funds have also been allocated. The Minister said that the ban was placed on new construction along the site Leh leave while the identification process for land acquisition has been completed.

Earlier, speaking at the ceremony of swearing in of the crown Tiger forces in Rawalpindi arts Council, Sarwar said that volunteers from the group give their time and resources to people in difficult and adverse circumstances, to serve suffering humanity in the course of the pandemic without any self-interest.

The Minister noted that thanks to timely government initiatives and planning, the public health system was strengthened and further mobilized. In this regard, there has been a significant reduction in mortality from corona in Pakistan and the recovery rate was better than the rest of the world.

Sarwar said that the epidemic of the coronavirus wreaked havoc on the global economy, but despite all the problems, the government of PTI has allocated in the Federal budget for development projects Rs650 billion.

He said that PTI government through the approval Leh highway and Ring road projects for the people of Rawalpindi have made in less than 35 months, which the previous government could not do in 35 years. He said that each of the two projects is estimated at more than RS 50 billion and work on the project Expressway Leh starts in the same financial year.

Sarwar said that the world’s largest social protection of RS. 150 billion was launched in the framework of Kifalat Ehsas under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan during the epidemic of the Crown. He said that the tiger force works in management of coronavirus with Ramadan.

He said that the administration Rawalpindi has played an important role in the control of Corona and it deserves a lot of praise. Waseeq qayyum Abbasi, member provincial Assembly, said that, according to world-renowned economist, Pakistan will become one of the five largest economic powers in the world by 2030, mainly due to its large number of young people.
