Punjab cm visits the orange line subway train progress on a surprise visit | Instant News

Lahore – chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has arrived with unexpected visit to the orange line Subway Train (OLMT) at the station, Gujran Dera on Saturday and discussed the preparation for the launch of trains.

The Prime Minister also familiarized with modern equipment, is in the orange line Subway Trainautomatic equipment and various sections of the project.

Managing Director (MD) that the Punjab mass transit authority gave a detailed briefing to the chief Minister about the current status of the project. Usman Buzdar, directing the relevant authorities to take Subway Train functional, said the train was part of China-Pakistan economic corridor initiative (CPEC) construction work Subway Train it is almost complete and the government is awaiting favourable conditions for its launch. The train will be officially launched soon after the removal of the barriers occurs because of the pandemic.

Cm said that making OLMT functional, the government will cease the practice of closing projects of the previous government. Subway train is functional for the welfare of people and for their convenience. He said that the government was determined to provide the best vehicles for residents of the metropolis. He said that it was decided that the standard operating procedures (SOP) to prevent passengers from COVID-19 will strictly follow the orange train line.

MD on public transport informed the CM about the progress of the initiative to make OLMT functional.

He said electrical, mechanical and civil construction project was completed. He said that the services of officials and experts from Chinese companies, including NORINCO, Daewoo GMG and was hired.

The Minister of transport, DG LDA LDA chief engineer, Deputy Commissioner Lahore division, GM, RMA, doctor of medical Sciences, NESPAK and others were also present at the event.
