Children given the wrong polio vaccine in Gilgit-Baltistan, accuse CM Sindh

KARACHI (News Dunya) – Chief Minister (CM) Sindh alleged that Gilgit-Baltistan children were given the wrong polio vaccine and demanded an investigation into the matter.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, he said that the spread of polio in Gilgit-Baltistan last year was caused by a wrong vaccine. Two cases were also reported in Karachi even though we eradicated the polio virus in 2018.

Who is involved in the drug scandal must be investigated by the media and also to find out who imported the vaccine, he said.

CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah said that the way the federal government treated Sindh was not even done with international agents.

He said that we had been criticized for talking about the rights of the province. There was no consultation about the problem of locusts.

He said that K-Electric was a failure of the federal government. The K-Electric Board does not include the provincial government.

The CM said that the provincial government should also be included in the K-Electric Stock and Board. K-Electric’s solution is with the federal government. Not only K-Electric but also Hesco and SEPCO are also facing problems, he added.

He demanded to include Sindh government members in the K-Electric council
