Tariq Basheer Cheema from PML-Q has contracted the corona virus, it appeared on Sunday.
He was treated at the Pims hospital in Islamabad yesterday after being tested positive.
Cheema is the Federal Minister for Housing and Employment and his party is Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s main coalition partner at the Center.
Cheema joined a long list of lawmakers for contagious diseases.
Six days ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s aide in the field of health, Dr. Zafar Mirza, too proven positive for COVID-19.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. Under medical advice, I have isolated myself at home and taken all precautions. I have mild symptoms. Please keep me in your good prayers, “Mirza tweeted.
Earlier this month, foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also was announced he tested positive for coronavirus and he had isolated himself.
The foreign minister, in a tweet, said: “This afternoon I felt a slight fever and immediately quarantined myself at home. I am now tested positive for COVID-19. “
“By the grace of God, I feel strong and energetic. I will continue my work from home. Please keep my prayers, “he added.
Two weeks earlier, the leader of the Pakistan Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM-P) and the Federal Minister for Information and Telecommunications Technology, Syed Aminul Haq, tested positive for the coronavirus.
A week before that, PML-N spokeswoman Marriyum Aurangzeb said she was positive.
Railroad Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, PTI MNA Jai Prakash, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, State Minister of Narcotics Shehryar Afridi and PTI head whips in the National Assembly Aamir Dogar have also been diagnosed with COVID-19.

PTA MPA Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel from Nowshera and PML-N MPA Shaukat Manzoor Cheema from Gujranwala also died last month after using a ventilator for several days.
