Former Pakistani cricket player Mudassar Nazar feels that England remains Babar Azam’s last frontier and if he does well on the upcoming team tour no one will be able to catch him.
Pakistan is scheduled to play three Tests and as many as T20I in August after the completion of the ongoing Test series in the West Indies in England.
According to Nazar, Azam – who is the captain of Pakistan at T20I and ODI – needs to perform well in England only because he has scored in various parts of the world.
“England is the final test for Babar Azam. Even though he had toured England before, he had not been properly tested. If he scores a goal here, then no one will be able to catch it. “The way he dominates the bowler lately, if he does the same thing in England then no one can catch him,” Nazar told Cricket Pakistan.
“Babar has a weak point which he uses to move the ball wide outside off-stump, which is a natural weakness in batsmen who grow up playing on Pakistan’s pitch. But lately, he has started playing late and is very good at bat.
“In South Africa too, Babar dominates Dale Steyn, who is famous for his behavior. “I think he will perform well in England because his trust is very high now,” he added.
The first test between the two teams will be played in Manchester starting August 5 while the last two tests are scheduled to be played in Southampton respectively from August 13 and August 21.
The three T20I, meanwhile, will be played in one place in Manchester respectively on August 28, August 30 and September 1.
