KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man accused of financing Indian spies through an established hawala and hundi network in Karachi, ARY News reported on Friday.

The man arrested was identified as Yaseen, who was allegedly the manager of a money exchange company.

Sources said that FIA counter-terrorism wing officials had arrested Yaseen during an attack carried out in the Saddar area in a metropolitan city. The arrest was carried out on the revelations of several suspects detained in connection with India’s main intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The source also revealed that the suspect was involved in distributing money among Indian anti-state and spy elements through hawala and hundi networks. In addition, the raids also recovered laptops and cellphones from their property.

Intelligence agents continue to carry out raids to arrest accomplices and also provide details to the airport regarding other suspects. The latest arrests reveal India’s conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan through funding terror that violates the regulations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
