1,000 ration bags distributed
LAHORE: Hamdard Foundation distributes 1,000 ration bags among needy families in the provincial metropolitan city, containing necessary food items that are sent on the doorstep of decent people living indoors because of the corona virus.
According to a spokesman for the Hamdard Foundation, Syed Ali Bukhari, ration bags were sent through Hamdard Free Pharmacy vehicles. He said the Foundation played an important role to provide assistance to those affected by locked corona, making the best efforts to reach the poorest people in the country.
Ali Bukhari said the majority of aid bags were sent at the doorsteps of white-collar people who were identified with the help of several volunteers serving in various public sectors who provided assistance to the Foundation to reach white-collar families in various places. He said the volunteers collected their data after visiting door-to-door with the help of local workers.
The Spray Brigade is: In an effort to disinfect the city, the Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore (MCL) on Tuesday was a Spray Brigade to disinfect areas closed to the provincial capital.
PSO Administrator Lahore (personal staff officer) Mian Waheed uz-Zaman said that the spray brigade was equipped with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), the latest spray guns and around 30 sprayers. He said the team would spray chlorine in a small and congested area where trucks and pickups could not enter.
He highlighted that the team would also spray at Covid-19 patient homes in a closed area. MCL Admin Director & Questions, Amin Akbar Chopra, assured that MCL uses all its resources to deal with coronavirus effectively and with perseverance.
