PTI, MQM slammed the Sindh government to appoint Fazl’s brother in Karachi | Instant News

Zia Rehman has been transferred from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has replaced Farhan Ghani, an Ex-PCS officer (BS-19)

KARACHI: MQM-P and PTI on Friday criticized the appointment of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother as deputy commissioner of the Karachi Central District who called it a political move.

“Zia-ur-Rehman, an official from the Provincial Management Service (PMS) (85-19) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, is currently at the disposal of the Sindh Government posted with immediate effect and until further orders as Collector / Deputy Commissioner, Central, Karachi, deputy Mr. Farhan Shell Khan, an officer from Ex-PCS (85-19), “read the notice issued on Thursday.

Immediately after the appointment was announced, the PTI leadership condemned the PPP government in Sindh and Fazlur Rehman and called the move a “tactic” to make the upcoming All-Party Conference successful.

Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur said that Rehman was appointed because it was inappropriate and without passing the required inspection.

“Under which law he was taken to civil service,” he asked, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan was running an assembly without diesel.

MQM-P senior leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan said they refused to appoint an officer from the KP in Karachi. “More than 100,000 jobs were given to fake domiciles. DC is appointed without notice from the Federal Government. “

Responding to the criticism, Information Minister Sindh Nasir Hussain Shah said: “It is not a crime to be Maulana Fazl’s brother”.

“Zia-ur-Rehman has held an administrative position at the KP, he said, adding that the appointment was an administrative matter.

In addition, Karachi PTI Secretary General Saeed Afridi said that the Sindh government needed “diesel” for their costs.

Afridi believes that the appointment was made in an effort to make APC successful.

“The opposition, after House No. 22 and the Kashmir Ministry, have found a new way to calm Maulana Fazl,” he said.

Afridi said that the community understood the tactics of the provincial government.

The PTI leader expressed concern that the newly appointed DC might make things worse for the district because it was the largest, in terms of population.
