The concerned wing of PTI for the appointment of “outsiders” as law enforcement officers Pakistan | Instant News

Islamabad: the lawyers wing of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf commonly known as the Insaf lawyers forum (Ilf), apparently perturbed over the proposal to appoint 12 of the law officers at the Islamabad High court (IHC) from Lahore, and from outside the party.

In Islamabad, the head of the Ilf said that the advisers of the Federal government and capital construction of the administration was the proposal to de-notify the existing 12 deputies and assistants of the Prosecutor General, equivalent to BS-20 positions to accommodate the ‘favourites’ lawyers to fill vacancies.

High court Islamabad bar Association (IHCBA) also issued a press release on Saturday against the proposed appointment, and warned that the bar does not welcome outsiders who could help the judges of the High court of Islamabad.

“This is to inform you that the government appoints law enforcement officers from Punjab, including Lahore. Through this press release the government has been warned to refrain from infringement of the rights of lawyers to Islamabad. We explicitly campaign, strongly condemn and consider it as a violation of Islamabad lawyers” IHCBA said.
