Lahore: National audit Bureau (NAB) has prepared a draft appeal to the Supreme court (SC) on bail granted to former Minister of Railways Khwaja Saad Rafiq and his brother, former health Minister Punjab Khwaja Salman Rafiq, to Paragon city the case of corruption.

“NAB Lahore has prepared a project to challenge bail for the brothers of Khwaja’ in the Supreme court and transferred to the NAB Chairman, retired justice Javed Iqbal for final approval,” the official said NAB Dawn Monday.

The two-judge bench of SC, headed by judge Maqbool Bakr was in March is granted bail the brothers of Khwaja in the case of Paragon.

According to the NEB of the project, the existing record clearly established as the Paragon city (PVT) limited was completed, what was the role Khwaja Saad Rafiq and his family members at its climax, and how they illegally enriched themselves from such company through their nominees, which established that they were the real architects of the entire Scam.

Many cases against members of the government are resolved strictly in accordance with the commandments of the law.”

NAB accused the brothers of Khwaja creation of a housing project, speaking as benamidars in the name of air-Avenue. The project was later transformed into a new housing scheme, namely Paragon city, which, according to nab, is illegal and not approved by the Lahore development authority (LDA). The Bureau also accused the two brothers receiving cash benefits in the amount of Rs58 million and Rs39m, respectively from the case companies by proxy of the firm under clothing consulting services.

The Bureau alleges that the brothers of Khwaja squandered the funds of the housing society for personal gain and going heavy quantities, despite clear directives from the LDA that the society was illegal.

The qaiser Amin butt, in the case of the approver, said in his speech that the Khwaja brothers were the “real owners and beneficiaries of the project the City of Paragon”.

NAB also accused Saad Rafiq creation of enterprise concern – m/S Sadian binds and illegal gains Rs58m from M/Executive builders in the last few years under the clothes of the Advisory services it provides.

According to the draft, Saad Rafiq, in collusion with the other accused, Nadeem Zia, illegally occupied and sold 31 Canals evaluation Rs638m belongs butt Shaheed. Both Saad and Zia also occupy 80 Canals is PC1.6 billion Haji Rafiq.

He further argued that the scheme of Paragon city housing illegal possession of state Land 22 Canals in Mauza Phularwan and four Canals and 10 Marla in Mauza Klaas in Tehsil CanTt.

“There are already SK in the same order that the security Deposit needs to be precise and not more than four or five pages. In paragraph 93 referred to the order of the honourable the Court noted that the comments in the above-mentioned order are indicative only and do not affect the operating results,” NAB said.
