Senior Punjab Minister of Food & Senior Abdul Aleem Khan visited Prime Minister Imran Khan and gave him a detailed explanation of the current wheat and flour situation in Punjab.

Prime Minister Imran Khan directed that there should be no shortage of wheat and flour because it was a basic need of citizens and the Department of Food and local government should not avoid any action in this regard.

Senior & Food Minister Abdul Aleem Khan told Prime Minister Imran Khan that this year’s official release of wheat had begun prematurely in all Punjab districts with the aim of ensuring an adequate supply of flour. He thanked the Prime Minister for accepting a proposal from the Punjab Government regarding the immediate import of 1.5 million tons of wheat.

He also expressed his gratitude for the approval and supply of low-priced wheat such as Punjab to a flour mill in the KPK province. Abdul Aleem Khan said that these two decisions would reduce the burden of the Punjab province on wheat and flour and there should be less price margins between the two provinces.

Senior Minister and Food Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also informed about the operations carried out in various districts in Punjab against hoarding and profiteering. He said that Punjab has abundant wheat reserves and that in Sha Allah there will be no shortage in the Punjab region.

Food Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that the process of supplying flour at a controlled level is taking place in all districts in the province every day and there are no complaints about flour shortages or sales. During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Senior Food Minister and Punjab Abdul Aleem Khan discussed department and other issues and various issues were discussed.
