The law and order situation in Islamabad is reviewed | Instant News

ISLAMABAD, APR 14 (DNA) – The Chief of Islamabad Police on Tuesday reviewed the efforts of troops to maintain law and order and curb the spread of the corona virus by ensuring implementation at the direction of the government.

The meeting, chaired by Islamabad Police Inspector General (IGP) Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, reviewed the overall policing efforts in the city and discussed future strategies in combating various challenges. The meeting was attended by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, SSP (Traffic), SP (Investigation), Zonal SPs, Supplementary SP Islamabad and CIA DSP.

IGP appreciates the efforts of the Operational Division police, led by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed, in creating awareness among citizens of the coronavirus and ensuring effective action against joint criminal elements.

IGP is directed at accelerating overall efforts for effective police and involving the public in various police related matters. He emphasized a proper attitude with the citizens and followed the `Phele Salam – Phir Kalam ‘policy. Successful policing is not possible without the cooperation of community members and they must be convinced of efforts to fight crime and anti-social elements, he added.

The Islamabad police chief was directed to complete an investigation of the deferred police officers including the earliest Household Representative Offices (SHOs) and to take strict disciplinary action against them if found to be involved in corruption.

He asks to close some points after 10 pm every day and conducts strict checks there. IGP requests DIG (Operation) to monitor all police actions in this regard and also ensure case investigations based on merit.

Bp Aamir Zulfiqar was assigned a task to the SP (Investigation) for effective action against car thieves. It was also decided that all SPs would supervise and ensure effective inspection in their respective regions through the establishment of cellular pickets at various times. = DNA
