Six gold chains, a vehicle worth Rs. 14.10 lakh recovered

Mysore / Mysuru: Krishnaraja Police (KR) had arrested four people involved in chain grabbing and two-wheeler lifting and had recovered seven two-wheelers and six gold chains from them.

Those arrested were Mohammed Faraz, 28, a native of Hunsur and living in Mandi Mohalla, Mysuru, 24-year-old Arbaz Khan from KG Halli in Bengaluru, 19-year-old Zabreen Khan from Saddam Nagar in Bengaluru and 21-year-old Imran Khan from Shabeer Nagar in Hunsur. year.

On September 21 at around 2 p.m., when the KR Police were carrying out routine beatings at Chamundi Hill, they saw four young men standing suspiciously along with a Hero Honda Splendor bike and a Honda Dio scooter on Jalan Uttanahalli at around 3 pm. When the youths saw a police vehicle approaching them, they tried to run away, but were arrested by members of the police.

During interrogation, the Police learned that they were involved in four incidents of chain grabbing at the KR Police boundary and one chain grabbing incident each at the Vidyaranyapuram border and Kuvempunagar Police in the city. In addition, the Police learned that the youths had lifted four two-wheelers at the KR Police boundary and one bicycle each at the boundaries of the Upparpet, Peenya and Mahalakshmi Layout Police in Bengaluru.

Based on the defendant’s testimony, the police managed to find seven two-wheeled vehicles and six gold chains worth Rs. 14.10 lakh of them.

Defendant Faraz, who was referred to as Assused-1 (A1) in this case, each had one case registered at the KR Polsek, Ashokapuram Polsek, Udayagiri and Lakshmipuram, two each at the NR Police, Lashkar, Saraswathipuram, Vidyaranyapuram and Jayalakshmipuram, three each in Nazarbad and VV Puram, five in Vijayanagar, three at the Kumaraswamy Layout Police Station in Bengaluru, two in Subramanyapuram, one in Girinagar, one in Basavanagudi, one in Nanjangud, one in Kollegal, one in KR Nagar, one in Srirangapatna and one case in Polres Mandya Barat.

Defendant Arbaz Khan had a case registered against him at the Kalasipalya Police Station in Bengaluru and Defendant Zabreen Khan had a case registered against him at the Vidhana Soudha Police Station.
