Sindh Governor Imran Ismail will hold a meeting with traders today regarding the reopening of businesses in the Sindh capital.
Traders’ organizations announced on Tuesday to revive their business activities in the city starting on Wednesday. Then it was postponed for two days because of the promise of the Karachi commissioner.
In today’s meeting, the governor of Sindh will convince the traders to resolve their problems and accept the demands that they should. It was said that the Karachi Commissioner had previously convinced traders to a meeting with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, but reportedly the meeting could not be scheduled due to CM routines.
A number of traders have reached the Saddar cellular market and tried to open their shop, but they were not allowed.
“There is a lack of clarity regarding market opening,” the police official said, adding that shop owners would be allowed to open their shops if they received a permit from the relevant authorities.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chairman of the Sindh Traders Alliance Jamil Ahmed Paracha had announced to open all markets in all provinces starting April 15 (Wednesday).
