Qamar Zaman Kaira slammed the ruling PTI over criticism of Sindh CM | Instant News

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for not recognizing the steps taken by the Sindh government to catch the spread of the corona virus.

Speaking at a press conference, Qamar Zaman Kaira said a spokesman for the federal government was trying to underestimate the spirit of the Sindh chief minister to fight the pandemic in the province. They issued strong criticisms of the provincial chief executive without taking into account the fact that he himself showed some weaknesses in the system, he added.

“We want to end the score of political points,” Kaira underlined, adding that whatever the prime minister and his cabinet members are doing is playing politics. He stated that a problem arises if no decision is taken, which occurs in this country.

If the federal government accepts their proposal, the situation will be different today, said the PPP leader, blaming the current coronavirus crisis on the lack of preventive measures at the Taftan border.

He said the Sindh government was swinging action took steps in Karachi and Sukkur when the first Covid-19 case arose. He also took the Center for the task of failure to provide resources to the province to fight transmission.
