KARACHI: The anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday issued arrest warrants that were not available for 15 suspected terrorists, belonging to the banned Balochistan Liberation Army, for being involved in an attack on the Chinese consulate on November 23, 2018.

ATC is listening to cases in the Karachi Central Prison anti-terrorism complex.

Ahmed Hasnain, Nadir Khan, Ali Ahmed, Abdul Latif and Aslam have been arrested in this case, while Hurbiar Marri, Ali Dad Baledi, Sharif, Rashid Hussain, Sameer, and others were declared as fugitives.

According to police, the Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and other foreign countries have funded the defendant

The police also claimed that the two suspects had confessed to the crime. Both suspects reportedly recorded their statements before the judge under Section 164 Criminal Procedure Code.

They had conducted a consulate reconnaissance and facilitated the attackers by supplying them with weapons and explosives.

Interpol will be approached to catch the fugitives.
