ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan was informed Thursday that 112 companies and individuals have so far been registered with the Federal Revenue Council (FBR), which will start working on 123 housing and construction projects.
The weekly meetings on housing, construction and construction held here with Prime Minister Imran Khan in chair are briefed by the Chairman of the FBR on the online registration system and awareness seminars. During the meeting an awareness seminar was told [about the housing and construction projects] have been organized in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
Chief Secretary Sindh told the meeting that a one-window portal for investors was available under which 19 projects for the province had been approved, while No Objection Certificates (NOC) for 75 projects had been issued.
It was further informed that to monitor the project a committee which also included private sector representatives was notified.
Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said at the meeting that with a reasonable increase in cement, brick and steel sales, the total investment in housing and construction projects in the province had reached Rs. 83 billion.
The Governor State Bank said at the meeting that the consultation process with all private banks regarding easy installments had been completed and their reservations had been removed. The Prime Minister advised that to make it easier for investors, the process of supplying NOCs must be made transparent, easy and with a short timeframe.
