KARACHI – Pakistani President Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi and MPA Khurrum Sher Zaman along with other PTI MPAs on Thursday delivered a resolution to the Sindh Assembly not to hold a ‘Jalsa’ by the opposition party on October 18 here. The holding of a public meeting on October 18 has been termed contrary to public security given the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.

Khurrum spoke to media people saying, ‘The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has highlighted the serious risks and warned of a second wave if such meetings continue.

It is against public safety, can put people’s lives at risk and need not jeopardize the success achieved against this pandemic. ‘

He asked political parties to withdraw from organizing Jalsa and rallies for the sake of public safety. He said that the wedding hall and restaurant were closed but a public meeting was being planned.

He accused the opposition party of trying to use Madaris children.
