ISLAMABAD: The federal government has launched a web portal to facilitate and provide timely information to Pakistan abroad amid the COVID-19 pandemic, ARY NEWS reported.

According to the details, the government has decided to improve the existing web portal and includes an ‘air travel’ option on the portal, enabling Pakistanis overseas to get timely information about flight operations to and from Pakistan.

The web page will also contain guidelines and government policies.

National Security Prime Minister Moeed Yusuf’s adviser said that they wanted to bring back stranded Pakistanis overseas according to priority.

“We have launched a website to overcome the confusion among Pakistanis abroad regarding government policies and provide accurate information to them,” he said.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his condolences with Pakistanis living abroad who were victims of COVID-19.

PM Imran Khan in a Tweet said, “Many died while serving on the front lines global war towards COVID19. My condolences and prayers are for their families. “

“My prayers are also for the early recovery of those who are still struggling against COVID19. You are all in our prayers, “he added.

The PM further stated that his prayers were with those who were still battling the deadly virus.

“We will never be able to forget all of you away from Pak who continues to make us proud and are our greatest assets, playing an important role in Pak’s development through sending money & charitable activities,” the prime minister added.
