LAHORE: Pakistan Federation of Building Bodies (PBBF) has appealed to the government, UNF Chief Protector Naveed Akram Cheema and Dr. Fahmida Mirza, Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) for aid packages for bodybuilding families who face crisis situations in several ways due to lockdown .
In an appeal, UNF President Sheikh Farooq Iqbal said that his federation was fully aware of the current situation because of the Corona Virus and that it was in accordance with government policy. But PBBF faces enormous pressure from fitness centers, gym owners and athletes (coaches). “They are suffering from a financial crisis which lies in the problem of rent, issues of salary & daily wages and problems of electricity bills) after locking for 28 days, which still continues.
“The UNF calls on IPC ministers and the Government to provide assistance packages to UNF distressed families and prepare several SOPs in consultation with the Pakistan Federation of Bodybuilding,” he said and also sought time for a meeting to discuss some serious issues.
