KARACHI: Police authorities in Karachi on Monday decided the strict implementation of locking in the city, after a coronavirus outbreak.

Metropolitan city police officials, heed the ARY News report about the free movement of citizens despite being locked up.

Directives have been issued for stringent checks on various picket arrangements in the city.

Last week, in a new notice issued, the interior ministry announced all restrictions that would remain in effect until April 14 in the province.

The Sindh government said the restrictions announced in the notice were needed to curb the spread of the corona virus.

All educational institutions, including schools, colleges, technical and vocational institutions, universities, training centers, madrassas are closed until April 14 along with shopping centers, cinema halls, wedding halls, banquet halls, marques, lawns, clubs, hotels, auditoriums, farm Houses, beaches, electronic markets, showrooms, boutiques, beauty salons and other outlets.
