Chinese Group Offers to Help Develop Infrastructure in Karachi, Coastal Area – Research Snipers | Instant News

The delegation of the People’s Republic of China visited the Iftikhar Ali Shallwani city government on Wednesday and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Corresponding report, the delegation was headed by the director of Mr. Houji Group. Xiang Qiwen and Ms. Wang Huayu and Overseas Friendship Coordinator Mr. Yang Haiming.

The delegation offered assistance from China for the improvement of Karachi’s infrastructure, coastal areas and construction of a parking plaza.

They also offered to sign a memorandum of understanding to declare Karachi and similar cities in China ‘Sister Cities’.

The administrator welcomed the offer and said that Pakistan and China have a close friendship, and also said that a megaproject like CPEC brought the two countries closer together. He said that Pakistan’s economy is likely to be lifted through CPEC.

Mr Shallwani said that Pakistan and China had worked on many joint projects and the latter had played an important role in Pakistan’s development. “Karachi Metropolitan Corporation wants to improve the city’s infrastructure and carry out road construction and other works,” he added.
