Balochistan government’s top priority development: PM
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said that his government has given top priority to the development of Balochistan so the region must make development and progress like the rest of the country.
According to the details, he chaired a meeting on development projects for the disadvantaged areas of South Balochistan in Islamabad on Thursday.
Imran Khan said South Balochistan was neglected in the past, which caused people in this area to face poverty and underdevelopment. He said Gwadar port was the most important which would prove to be an important milestone for the country’s development.
The Prime Minister further said that he will soon visit South Balochistan and announce a comprehensive development package for the area and also formalize projects under this announcement.
The meeting learned about the proposed development packages for underdeveloped districts in South Balochistan, in particular Khuzdar, Awaran, Chaghi, Kharan, Washik, Lasbela, Gwadar, Panjgur and Turbat.
Detailed briefings were also given on roads, energy, dams for water storage, education, health, agriculture, livestock, fisheries and other projects for South Balochistan.
