The Judbah-Thakot Road is cleared for traffic
MANSEHRA: The Judbah-Thakot road, which connects the Torghar district with the rest of the Hazara division, was cleared for traffic on Monday after closing for more than a week.
“Local residents clear the road to traffic after removing large rocks and landslides from it,” Assad Khan, SHO from the Judbah police station, told reporters. The Torghar district government and the Department of Communication and Work failed to clear the landslides triggered by heavy rains in the area last week, causing inconvenience for travelers using arteries along the Indus River.
Local residents cleaned the road independently near Judbah, which was followed by a truck loaded with basic necessities and a bus carrying passengers from Karachi entering the district via Judbah-Thakot Road. The bus carries about 60 locals who have been stranded in Karachi since the government made a total closure in the country last month. “These passengers were screened at various points on the way to Judbah but were not filtered here before entering the district,” said a local resident. claimed citizens.
