Around 739,000 young people have registered to join voluntary bodies for humanitarian assistance.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Youth Affairs Usman Dar renewed Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday and updated it with volunteers so far joining the Corona Relief Tiger Force for relief activities during locking.
Prime Minister Imran Khan directed to immediately activate the Corona Tiger Force at the provincial level because around 739,000 young people had registered to join voluntary bodies for relief work during the confinement.
Usman Dar consulted with Prime Minister Imran on troop operational issues. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the report, the PM Office’s press release said.
At the direction of the prime minister, Tiger Force’s direct update has also been published and linked to the official Covid-19 portal owned by the government. Now people can see the troop direct updates at http://crt.covid.gov.pk.
Usman Dar told the prime minister that the majority of those who had registered for volunteer forces were students and social workers, in addition to doctors, political workers, engineers, teachers, lawyers, journalists, retired army officers and people from sector companies.
Among the total people registered, 494,000 came from Punjab, 111,000 from Sindh, 102,000 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10,000 from Islamabad, 9,000 from Balochistan, and 8,000 from Azad Kashmir.
The prime minister praised the enthusiasm shown by youth and said he hoped such a national spirit by them in difficult times.
He said the young man would soon be activated at the provincial and district levels, and directed his special assistant so that he would be kept up to date on troop statistics.
