Lawyers welfare fund launched
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Association (LHCBA) has launched a lawyers welfare fund for advocacy assistance that needs it immediately after being locked out due to a coronavirus pandemic. A committee under the leadership of LHCBA President Tahir Nasarullah Warriach has been formed. Members of the Pakistan Lawyers Council Ahsan Bhoon and Azam Nazir Tarar are members of the committee. A total of 500 applications have been received at the Bar and the money will be distributed among 400 lawyers.
Tiger Forces DENIED: Senior PPP leader Aurangzeb Burki has rejected the Tiger Army announced by the Prime Minister and accused that it was only intended to bribe PTI workers instead of serving the nation.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the PPP leader said that the formation of the Tiger Power had two evil aims. First, bribing supporters and involving them in looting government aid packages. Second, the Prime Minister has tried to convey that he has his own strength to meet all possibilities, the PPP leader said.
